The protest by Lazio fans against president Claudio Lotito has reached record numbers. Only just over 2,000 season ticket holders out of 29,918 have renewed for the 2026-27 season, a non-renewal rate of 93.3%.
Organized fan groups have urged supporters to follow the team only away from home, describing the sacrifice of their Olympic Stadium seats as an act of dissent "extreme but loving." The second sales window is open until August 20, but recovery appears unlikely.
The economic consequences for the club could reach €20 million in lost revenue, a significant sum for the Biancocelesti's finances. Fan discontent has been fueled by years of opposition to Lotito's management.
