Starting from pole position, Marquez led from lights to flag aboard his Ducati Lenovo Team machine, building an unassailable advantage over the chasing pack. The Spaniard controlled the race from the front, managing his tyres expertly over the 30-lap distance to finish comfortably ahead of Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez.
The result lifts Marquez to third in the overall standings, 102 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin of Aprilia Racing. While the gap remains substantial, the momentum shift heading into the break could prove significant in the second half of the season.
Ogura's second-place finish marked his third consecutive Sunday podium, bringing the Japanese rider within 20 points of Martin at the top of the table. Marc Marquez admitted after the race that his brother's misfortune meant he could not be "100 per cent happy" with the victory. "I would like to see also Alex here, on the podium," he said. "I saw the way he worked after the Montmelo race and it was amazing."
Pedro Acosta finished ahead of Martin and Francesco Bagnaia, with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider making an impressive move past the championship leader early in the race. The result keeps the young Spaniard in contention as the paddock prepares for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
