Napoli are exploring a potential swap deal that would send goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to Tottenham Hotspur in exchange for Guglielmo Vicario, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport.
The Partenopei are preparing to install Alex Meret as their first-choice goalkeeper for the 2026-27 season, which has made Milinkovic-Savic available on the transfer market. The 29-year-old Serbian international, who joined Napoli from Torino in 2024, has been a regular starter but would be reluctant to accept a back-up role should Meret take the gloves.
Napoli have already offered Milinkovic-Savic to Hull City and Leeds United, but the former Torino shot-stopper is reportedly unenthusiastic about a move to the Championship. A switch to Tottenham, however, would be more befitting of his calibre, and the north London club are open to including Vicario as part of the deal.
Vicario, 29, joined Tottenham from Empoli in 2023 and has been a steady presence in goal for Spurs. However, the Italian international is eager for a return to his home country and has previously been linked with Juventus. Napoli could offer him an attractive alternative, where he would compete with Meret for the starting spot rather than serving as a clear understudy.

For Tottenham, Milinkovic-Savic would bring Serie A experience and proven quality. The Serbian has established himself as one of Italy's top goalkeepers during his spells with Torino and Napoli. For Napoli, Vicario already knows the league well from his Empoli days and would provide reliable competition for Meret.
