Napoli have sounded out Chelsea about a loan move for Benoît Badiashile, but the Blues are only willing to discuss a permanent transfer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 25-year-old French centre-back is not in Chelsea's plans, but the London club is not willing to discuss a temporary transfer, at least for now. Napoli might make a new attempt towards the end of August if Badiashile has not found another club by then.
Napoli are looking for a new centre-back after Alessandro Buongiorno sustained a knee problem that will keep him out for the whole pre-season and perhaps even beyond, especially if the former Torino captain is forced to undergo surgery.
