Nigeria international defender Kevin Akpoguma is set to arrive in Italy on Wednesday for his medical ahead of joining newly-promoted Serie A side Frosinone as a free agent.
Sky Sport Italia report that the flight has been booked and the versatile defender is expected to put pen to paper with the Serie B champions on Thursday.
Akpoguma, who turned 31 in April, is comfortable playing as a centre-back, right-back or left-back, making him a valuable addition to any squad. He became a free agent after his contract with TSG Hoffenheim expired on June 30, ending a long association with the German club that began in 2013. During his time at Hoffenheim he also had loan spells at Fortuna Dusseldorf and Hannover 96.
