Olympiacos Piraeus have officially announced the signing of Jean Montero, one of the most significant moves of the 2026 EuroLeague free agency. The Dominican guard was born in 2003 and arrives from Valencia Basket on a three-year contract that will keep him at the Greek club until June 2029.
Montero, 23, spent two seasons in Spain, posting standout numbers: 14.4 points, 4.8 assists, 3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game across 38 EuroLeague appearances last season. Those figures established him as one of the continent's brightest young talents.
The Angelopoulos brothers, the club's owners, presented the player during a press conference alongside SuperBet, unveiling the away jersey carrying the number 8 on the back. Olympiacos, the reigning European and Greek champions, further strengthen their backcourt ahead of the defence of their continental crown.
