Paige Bueckers scored all 22 of her points in the second half and reached 500 career field goals as the Dallas Wings beat the Toronto Tempo 94-88 at the American Airlines Center in Arlington, Texas, on Wednesday night.
Bueckers missed all seven of her shots in the first half, then erupted after the break. She went 4-of-4 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line in a 13-point third quarter, and finished 7-of-11 from the floor with a perfect 7-of-7 at the line in the second half, adding eight assists and three steals. The milestone arrived in her 68th WNBA game, making her the second-fastest player in league history to reach 500 career field goals.
The win snapped Dallas' three-game losing streak, their longest of the season. Arike Ogunbowale added 21 points, setting season highs with 13 made free throws on 14 attempts, Awak Kuier scored 14 and Alanna Smith posted 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Wings played without All-Star forward Jessica Shepard, who injured an ankle in the previous game against Minnesota, and without No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd, sidelined for a third straight game with a knee injury.
