Bradley Beal is staying in Los Angeles. The Clippers announced Thursday that the veteran guard has signed a two-year contract worth $13.2 million, with a player option on the second season.
President of basketball operations Lawrence Frank confirmed the move in a team statement, bringing back a 33-year-old whose first season with the franchise never really got off the ground. Beal joined the Clippers in July 2025 after reaching a buyout agreement with the Phoenix Suns, but played just six games before a left hip injury ended his campaign on Nov. 8. In those six starts he averaged 8.2 points, 1.7 assists and 20.2 minutes, a long way from the production he delivered during his All-Star years in Washington.
The new deal follows a summer of uncertainty. Beal declined the $5.26 million player option on his previous contract to become an unrestricted free agent, with the Miami Heat reportedly among the teams tracking his situation. In the end, he chose to run it back with the Clippers, who are betting on a healthy, discounted version of one of the NBA's most prolific scorers.
