Igor Volley Novara have signed American middle blocker Phoebe Awoleye on a one-year contract. The move was necessitated by Julia Gambatto Kudiess's injury.
Awoleye, 25, played last season with Atlanta Vibe in the MLV (Major League Volleyball) and SC Braga in Portugal. The American middle blocker arrives to reinforce Novara's department following Kudiess's physical issue.
The Piedmont club continues building its roster for the upcoming season, aiming for a mix of experience and youth. Awoleye will bring physicality and international experience to the middle blocker position.
