Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of France midfielder Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco, the Ligue 1 champions confirmed on Thursday. The 24-year-old has signed a contract through to 2031 and will wear the number 11 shirt.
The transfer, reported to be worth around €50 million, was agreed in the opening days of August after negotiations between the two clubs intensified in the final week of July. Akliouche arrives as the player PSG identified to replace Lee Kang-in, who completed his move to Atlético Madrid last month, and he is expected to add creativity and direct running to the Parisians' attack.
A France international, Akliouche was called up by Didier Deschamps for the 2026 World Cup, where Les Bleus finished fourth. His most recent campaign at Monaco was his most productive: 43 appearances across all competitions, with seven goals and 11 assists, numbers that confirmed his status as one of the most promising attacking players in Ligue 1.
Speaking to PSG TV after putting pen to paper, Akliouche described his pride at joining the club he supported as a child. "It's an honour to join such a prestigious club," he said. "I want to give everything to help this team win."
The move ends Akliouche's long spell in the principality, where he established himself as a regular in the first team, and gives PSG another attacking option as they prepare for the new Ligue 1 season. The six-year contract runs until June 2031, with the transfer first reported by market expert Fabrizio Romano. For PSG, the Frenchman is the headline arrival of the summer window: a significant investment in a player the club had tracked for some time and who will now compete for a leading role in a squad aiming to re-establish itself among Europe's elite.
