Roma are preparing to send an improved bid to West Ham United for Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, with the latest proposal reported at the €46 million already flagged by Sky Sport Italia. The Giallorossi have made no secret of their pursuit of the 24-year-old attacker as they look to reshape their front line for the new campaign, and Summerville has emerged as their primary target.
The negotiations, however, remain fluid. Moretto and Romano had suggested an initial offer of €40m plus €5m in add-ons, which West Ham rejected. Sky Sport Italia subsequently put the most recent bid at a total of €46m including bonuses, with a response expected by Monday or Tuesday. Romano now reports that the proposal is about to be made official, suggesting the figures circulating are simply different stages of the same deal being formalised with the Premier League club.
Rome-based reporter Eleonora Trotta puts the offer at €45m plus €5m in add-ons, with a contract for the player worth €4m per season. Summerville would be able to form an intriguing attacking trident alongside his fellow Dutchman Donyell Malen. Sky Sport Italia also insist the player has given the all-clear to a move to the Giallorossi, so personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle.
