SuperLega 2026-27: calendar confirmed, season kicks off October 18 with Perugia at Cuneo

The Italian Volleyball League has officially released the 2026-27 SuperLega calendar. The regular season runs from October 18 to February 28 across 13 matchdays, with defending champions Sir Susa Vim Perugia opening their title defense away at newly promoted Cuneo.

Four midweek rounds are scheduled — November 4 (Round 4), December 2 (Round 8), January 13 (Round 15) and February 24 (Round 21) — alongside the traditional Boxing Day fixtures on Saturday, December 26. Round 11 on December 20 marks the halfway point and will determine the eight Coppa Italia qualifiers.

The Italian Super Cup will use the Final Four format for the 11th time, set for November 14-15 at a venue to be confirmed. The Coppa Italia features single-elimination quarterfinals on Tuesday, December 30 at the higher seed's home, with the Final Four scheduled for February 6-7.

The championship playoffs involve the top eight teams: quarterfinals, semifinals and final all best-of-five series, running from March 7 (Game 1 of the quarters) through May 11 (potential Game 5 of the final). Teams placed 9th through 12th will contest playouts for three spots in the following season's SuperLega.

Opening round (October 18): Verona-Civitanova, Modena-Trento, Padova-Piacenza, Cisterna Volley-Milano, Cuneo-Perugia, Pordenone-Monza.
