The New Saints are out of the Champions League after Sabah won 2-1 at Park Hall on Tuesday 14 July in the first qualifying round second leg, progressing 4-1 on aggregate.
Jón Mickels put the visitors ahead in the 28th minute, assisted by A. Malouda, and Rəhman Daşdəmirov doubled the lead in the 42nd minute with a finish set up by T. Puchacz before the break. The Welsh champions pulled one back through Jordan Lock in the 89th minute, but it was only a consolation: Sabah had already done the damage.
The tie was settled at 4-1 on aggregate, ending the European campaign of the Cymru Premier side at the very first hurdle of the 2026/27 Champions League.
