Tadej Pogacar delivered another dominant performance in the 14th stage of the Tour de France 2026, attacking on the final climb and winning solo at Le Markstein Fellering to further strengthen his hold on the yellow jersey. The Slovenian star of UAE Emirates XRG launched his decisive move 1.6 km from the summit of the Col du Haag, dropping rival Jonas Vingegaard and crossing the finish line alone.
Saturday's stage from Mulhouse covered 155 km through the Vosges mountains in the Alsace region, featuring three Category 1 climbs: the Grand Ballon, the Ballon d'Alsace, and the Col du Haag. Pogacar timed his attack perfectly, once again demonstrating his overwhelming climbing superiority.
Mexican rider Isaac Del Toro (UAE Emirates XRG), Pogacar's teammate, finished second, continuing his impressive performances this Tour. Young French hope Paul Seixas took third place, ahead of two-time champion Jonas Vingegaard.
With this fourth stage win in the 2026 edition — and his 25th career Tour stage victory — Pogacar now leads Vingegaard by 4 minutes and 30 seconds in the general classification. Remco Evenepoel sits third at 5:04, while the 19-year-old Seixas has risen to fourth at 5:19.
The stage was raced in changing weather conditions, with rain making the descents treacherous. Despite this, Pogacar managed every phase of the race with his trademark composure. "I gave it a go today. I had good feelings," the Slovenian said at the finish line, looking ahead to Sunday's 15th stage, which concludes with the daunting HC climb to Plateau de Solaison in the French Alps.
After Monday's second rest day, the Tour will conclude on July 26 with the traditional finale on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, where Pogacar appears destined to claim his fifth Tour title, joining cycling legends Eddy Merckx, Miguel Indurain, Jacques Anquetil, and Bernard Hinault.
