Gas Sales Bluenergy announces it has reached an agreement with American outside hitter Cooper Robinson for the 2026/27 season. Born on 8 August 2002 in Pacific Palisades, California, Cooper Robinson is one of the most interesting prospects of the new generation of American volleyball. A 202-centimetre outside hitter coming off his experience in the Japanese league with the Hiroshima Thunders, he arrives in Italy for his first professional adventure in Europe. Already a regular part of the United States men's national team project, he has been involved in the most recent international competitions and is currently playing the Volleyball Nations League.
A product of the prestigious UCLA, with which he won two national NCAA titles, Robinson established himself as one of the most complete attackers on the American college scene. In 2025 he was named AVCA First Team All-American and MPSF Player of the Year, closing the season with 365 points scored in attack and confirming outstanding technical and athletic qualities.
Director of Sport Ninni De Nicolo: "Cooper is an outside hitter who combines great technical and athletic qualities. He has important physical tools, is able to guarantee notable height both in attack and at the net, and we think he can give a significant contribution to our roster. His arrival fits perfectly within the technical line the club has chosen, betting on young profiles, full of talent and with wide margins of growth."
