Fiorentina have added another piece to their summer rebuild, securing defender Victor Valdepenas from Real Madrid. The 2006-born centre-back, who came through the Spanish club's academy, is the latest arrival as the Viola opened pre-season training at Viola Park.
The operation is valued at around 8 million euros, with Real Madrid retaining 50% of any future resale and a buy-back option. A release clause set at 60 million euros was inserted into the agreement, which is still awaiting formal confirmation.
Valdepenas is set to sign a five-year contract with the Tuscan club. Meanwhile, Fiorentina continue to monitor Ivorian midfielder Christ Inao Oulai of Trabzonspor, who turned 20 last April.
