Brighton & Hove Albion have officially completed the signing of Croatian defender Luka Vušković from Tottenham Hotspur. The 19-year-old centre-back arrives for what is reported to be a club-record fee of £46m, which could rise to £50m with add-ons, on a five-year contract with an option for a further year.
Vušković joined Tottenham from Hajduk Split in 2025 and was immediately loaned to Hamburg, where he made 30 appearances last season and scored six goals in the Bundesliga. His form earned him Bundesliga Rookie of the Season honours and a place in the league's Team of the Year.
The teenager is effectively a replacement for Jan Paul van Hecke, who moved in the opposite direction to Spurs last month for £52m. Vušković has six senior caps and one goal for Croatia and made his World Cup debut against England in the group stage.
