Marina Mabrey poured in 36 points with seven 3-pointers, yet the Atlanta Dream held off the Toronto Tempo 107-95 on Monday night at College Park, Georgia, in a WNBA regular-season clash.
The Tempo guard produced her third game of the season with at least seven makes from beyond the arc, but Atlanta's balanced attack and a decisive second-quarter surge proved too much. The Dream outscored Toronto 30-17 in the second period to take a 54-39 lead into the locker room, an advantage they never surrendered. Atlanta improved to 14-2 when leading at halftime.
Rhyne Howard led the Dream with 22 points and six 3-pointers, becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 100 threes in a single season. Howard hit the milestone in just 31 games, breaking the previous mark of 33 that she shared with Diana Taurasi. Angel Reese added 20 points and 14 rebounds for her 22nd double-double of the campaign, setting a franchise record for double-doubles in a season and moving within six of Alyssa Thomas' WNBA record of 28, set in 2023. Jordin Canada contributed 20 points and nine assists, while Allisha Gray and Brionna Jones chipped in 15 apiece.
