Como 1907 have officially announced the signing of Mattia Liberali, a 2007-born attacking midfielder developed in AC Milan's youth academy, on a contract that ties the youngster to the Lombard club until 30 June 2031. The player, who arrives from Catanzaro after a season featuring 29 appearances, 4 goals and 4 assists, chose the blue-and-whites turning down a return to Milan.
The deal was sealed with the full payment of the €6 million release clause included in Liberali's contract with Catanzaro. He joins a squad that, under head coach Cesc Fabregas, is also preparing for the Champions League campaign.
"I spoke with Fabregas, I think it's perfect," the young playmaker said after signing, explaining that he picked Como to keep growing and improving. A move built on potential and Italian identity for a team aiming high next season.
