SSC Napoli has unveiled the full programme for "Napoli 100," the club's centenary celebration set to take place on 1 August 2026. Founded in 1926, the Partenopei will mark a century of history with a city-wide festival spanning multiple locations across Naples, entirely free of charge and open to the public.
The celebrations will kick off at 19:26 from Piazza Carità — a symbolic nod to the club's founding year and its original headquarters. The opening ceremony will be announced by the bells of 100 churches ringing simultaneously across the city, accompanied by a dramatic blue smoke display, the "Fumata Azzurra." A ribbon-cutting ceremony will follow, with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis joined by Campania Region president Roberto Fico, Naples mayor Gaetano Manfredi, prefect Michele di Bari, and police chief Maurizio Agricola.
From there, the "Processione Azzurra" will wind its way through the historic centre along a one-kilometre route: Piazza Carità, Via Toledo, Via Santa Brigida, Via Verdi, Via San Carlo, Piazza Trieste e Trento, and finally Piazza del Plebiscito. The procession will be brought to life by 100 actors, 100 musicians, and 100 children, weaving together Neapolitan mythology, cultural traditions, and music that has carried the name of Naples around the world.
At 20:26, the "Pizza Village" opens in Piazza Municipio, where the club — together with its partners — will distribute thousands of complimentary slices of Margherita pizza and drinks to supporters. A portion of the pizzas will also be donated to people in vulnerable circumstances through Banco Alimentare Campania. Large screens will broadcast the evening's ceremony live.
The official Centenary Ceremony begins at 20:45 in Piazza del Plebiscito. De Laurentiis, institutional representatives, club legends and special guests will take part in a multimedia journey through 100 years of Azzurri history, featuring music, imagery, personal accounts and artistic performances. One highlight will bring together Napoli legends and current figures in a symbolic handover between past and future.
At 22:30, the "Notte Azzurra" will transform Naples' skyline: the Royal Palace, Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino), Palazzo San Giacomo, Castel dell'Ovo, and Castel Sant'Elmo will simultaneously light up in blue, followed by a synchronised fireworks display between Piazza del Plebiscito and Castel dell'Ovo. A DJ set in collaboration with Radio Kiss Kiss will keep the party going late into the night.
Access to Piazza del Plebiscito requires free registration via TicketOne from 15:00 on 29 July. The club has called on all supporters to wear an Azzurri shirt and bring a scarf, transforming the city into a sea of blue.
