Olympiacos have made Porto left-back Francisco Moura their priority target for the left side of defence, with the Greek club ready to open talks with a bid in the region of €7 million. Record and O Jogo reported on 5 August 2026 that no formal proposal has yet reached the Dragons' board, but that is expected to change in the coming days as Evangelos Marinakis's club prepares to make the first move.
Moura, a 1999-born full-back, joined Porto from Famalicão in the summer of 2024 for around €5 million, with a release clause set at €60 million. His first season at the Dragão was impressive: four goals and 11 assists in 42 appearances. Last term, however, his role diminished under the new coaching staff, with 32 outings, three goals and two assists. The Portuguese left-footer, comfortable both as a full-back and as a wing-back, is seen as an ideal fit for the rotation on the flank.
Porto, according to reports in the Italian press, have been open only to a permanent sale at a substantial fee: interest from Spain, England, Italy and Germany emerged over the summer, but most suitors preferred a loan with an option to buy. Fiorentina and Deportivo La Coruña both sounded out the player before moving on — the Viola signed Valdepeñas and João Mário, while the Galicians brought in Angeliño. Now Olympiacos are stepping forward: the Piraeus club currently have Nigeria international Bruno Onyemaechi as their only natural left-back, and he too could leave before the window closes, which would give the Greeks extra financial firepower in the chase for Moura.
